Episode Description:
“Summertime, and the livin’ is easy.” That’s the title of a popular song, but many times, if we’re not careful, summer can be as busy, blurred, and stressful as the rest of the year. How many times does late August roll around and we think: “Where did summer go?” This episode encourages you to “seize the day” and make clear goals so you can plan out the rest of your summer. What do YOU hope to achieve and complete before school starts? Find some practical tips here.

Recently some writing students of mine listened to a podcast episode of their choice and wrote a brief response as to how the content might help them. Here is one:
I chose to listen to the second episode because it was one of the shorter ones (I was a little short on time). In this episode, I learned some ideas related to planning. Although the summer is almost over, I can still use these planning skills during school time. While listening to this podcast, I also heard how small, manageable plans sometimes work better than big dreams you have. As a person who is terrible at making plans of what I am supposed to do, this episode has helped me tremendously, as I now know that writing plans down on pieces of paper is more helpful because I can see them.
