Episode Description:

Since “September is the other January,” and since time management is a big part of success both in and out of school, today’s episode encourages you to make a weekly schedule. Find or make a time grid, for Monday through Sunday, all day and, night, and pencil in your priorities and commitments for each week: work, school, meals, sleep, exercise, study time, social life, etc. Think carefully about where you want to invest your time and focus, to get the maximum benefit. As someone said, “Don’t prioritize your schedule; schedule your priorities.” Write down the most important things you need to do, to help improve your chances that you will actually do them. And as Zig Ziglar said, “We all get the same amount of time—even the average billionaire gets only 24 hours a day.” Take a listen and see how you can better budget your time in this new school year.

Word of the Day: proactive (adj.) the mindset of being active, or “taking the bull by the horns.” Instead of waiting passively for others to active, a proactive attitude takes action to help improve the likelihood of positive outcomes.

Question of the Day: What are 5 key priorities you need to include in your weekly schedule?

4. Someone gives us $86,400 every day. Whatever money we don’t use disappears at midnight. Our bank account is refilled at 12:00am that night with $86,400 more. We would want to make sure we use every dollar each day. It turns out we have 86,400 seconds every day.
