John D. Rockefeller (1839-1937), at the peak of his wealth, owned about 1% of the US economy. When asked \u201cHow much money is enough?\u201d he replied: \u201cJust a little bit more.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Money makes you safe and secure.<\/li>\n<li>The US$ 151-billion advertising industry (in 2018, up 4.1% over 2017) exists to make you feel insecure and inadequate, but if you buy \u201cproduct A\u201d or \u201cservice B,\u201d you\u2019ll be happy, beautiful, popular, secure, accepted, up-to-date, cool, successful, smart, with the in-crowd\u2026.<\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t have enough money, it\u2019s because \u201cthe top 1% has too much,\u201d the minimum wage is too low, the system is rigged, capitalism has failed, rich people and business owners are selfish, you attended a bad school, your parents didn\u2019t teach you right, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Think about it: What other messages do YOU think our culture tells us about money?<\/li>\n<li>______________________________________________________________<\/li>\n<li>______________________________________________________________<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>What does THE BIBLE say about money?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblemoneymatters.com\/bible-verses-about-money-what-does-the-bible-have-to-say-about-our-financial-lives\/\">Some claim<\/a> there are 2,000+ verses about money in the Bible&#8211; this is a PARTIAL list)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis%202:2-3&amp;version=NIV;CUVS\">Gen. 2:2-3<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Exodus+23%3A12&amp;version=NIV;CUVS\">Ex. 23:12<\/a>. Take a \u201csabbatical\u201d every 7 days; don\u2019t work 24\/7.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Gen.+41%3A34-36&amp;version=NIV;CUVS\">Gen. 41:34-36<\/a>. Save up in good times so you can survive bad times.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Deut.+8%3A18&amp;version=NIV;CUVS\">Deut. 8:18<\/a>. God gives you the ability and smarts to be able to create wealth.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Judges+16%3A4-5%2C18&amp;version=NIV;CUVS\">Judges 16:4-5<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Judges+16%3A18&amp;version=NIV;CUVS\">18<\/a>. Don\u2019t envy the arrogant or wicked who have more money than you do. One is to accumulate more and more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The other is to need less.\u201d &#8211;G.K.
