I took the SAT again on Dec. 4th. I got a 1440! I am so happy and could not wait to share this good news with you! My TOEFL was 104. BTW I was accepted by Penn State and Perdue! For my Taiwan university entrance exam (學測) GSAT (General Scholastic Ability Test) I scored 57/60, which is the top 1-2% in Taiwan. I can apply for National Taiwan University or Taiwan’s medical school! It was totally beyond what I had been hoping for! Also, I got an offer from University of Washington at Seattle’s pre-med major today with a $3000/year scholarship!!!!! These achievements are all credit to you. THANK YOU SO MUCH again!

Sydney, A 12th grader in the National Experimental High School in the Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan (國立新竹科學園區實驗高級中等學校), who received 1 on 1 DreyerCoaching SAT and college-admissions coaching before taking her SATs and TOEFL

~ Susan.

In the summer before Timothy got into the seventh grade, he attended Mr. Dreyer’s lessons to improve vocabulary, reading, and writing skills. In these lessons, Mr. Dreyer was able to provide thorough instruction about the usage of vocabulary and reading comprehension. This was the first step toward the success of his future academic performance and career. Four years later, Timothy received a full score on SAT I critical reading. I will encourage my younger son to prepare these basic skills and receive teaching from Mr. Dreyer. I recommend his summer lessons for IBSH students.

Hello. Last year I learned English with the DreyerCoaching.com online school, and it helped my English very much. Plus it is safe and it saves time, because you don’t have to leave home to learn standard local English, so this makes it easy to talk to foreigners. I used to study in Taiwan schools, and the Chinese teachers who taught English had inaccurate pronunciation, and that really bothered me. Ever since I learned online, I have been very relaxed in my English classes.

-Deron joined DreyerCoaching online in 2014-2015, then lived with the Dreyers and attended a US high school for grades 9-12. In 2021-22, he attends the prestigious University of Virginia!

Dear Mr. Dreyer,

Bryne really likes his teacher and class, and we don’t have any questions at the moment. (…)  Learning English requires a long-term accumulation of skills, according to his personal rhythm, and go at it step by step. Thank you.

A Mother in Vancouver, Canada, whose son is getting DreyerCoaching 1 on 1 classes three nights a week.

Comparing the English tutoring services from DreyerCoaching with those of cram schools is like comparing products mass-produced in factories with individually-made, hand-crafted items. It is like comparing apples and oranges. On the surface they may seem similar, but actually it is a very unequal comparison.

Early Merry Christmas Mr. Dreyer! Thank you for teaching me so much during the past many years and shaping me into the person I am today. I want to share with you a piece of exciting news. Drumrolls…….I got into New York University!

Mr. Scott Dreyer’s English enhancement classes are great! His classes are excellent not only for young beginners who wish to excel in daily school life but also for high school kids who are going to soar on the SAT tests! Both of my kids learned a lot from him, like how to use the right vocabulary words, speak in public with confidence, develop writing skills, etc. He is a wonderful teacher.

Today was the last day teaching my Conversation Class with four students in Taiwan. We had the Conversation Class twice a week from September – June. Today, I asked my students to explain how the Conversation Class has helped them with English. One student said that before she took the Conversation Classes, she could understand 30% of what her English-speaking clients said on the telephone. After taking the Conversation Classes, she now understands her English-speaking clients 100%! At Dreyer Coaching we are thrilled to see our students excel with their English skills!

Conversation Class Teacher explaining what Arita, an adult student in Taoyuan, Taiwan, said about how the class helped her.

“It’s Michael Hermann. I saw your website and was really impressed. I just wanted to reach out and give you an update.

Since graduating college, I went to the Medical College of Virginia for medical school. I then went to Vanderbilt for a surgery internship and Massachusetts General Hospital (the oldest Harvard program) for my anesthesiology residency. I did a fellowship in pain medicine at Stanford. Since that time, I’ve been living in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

I’m so thankful that I got to have you as a teacher and mentor. You made a wonderful impact on my life and I know you are continuing to do so with others.”  (–This email came from Michael, a student Scott taught in 9th grade for world history and 10th grade in public speaking. He is now a doctor of anesthesiology.)

Mr. Dreyer, Mrs. McKinney和Mr.

Ricky

I have known Mr. Scott Dreyer, founder of The Dreyer Academy, since the 1990s and his passion for teaching English to non-native speakers is highly commendable. His enthusiasm in educating international students never reduced. As a non—native speaker myself, I greatly benefited from him. Scott not only helped my son several years ago in his essay writing skills for his college application, recently he helped me as well. I am a research professor at one of the top 10 public universities in the US and as a career development effort, I decided to explore studying an evening MBA program this fall. Scott was very supportive of my efforts and he came alongside and helped me to improve my writing skills and encouraged me to secure admission to the program successfully. I thank him for his tireless efforts in supporting non-native speakers.

並且也上了 conversation class, reading class和 1 on 1 class,而在會考拿到A的好成績.

Grade 9 Student, Taoyuan, Taiwan

At first, I was scared of English. I didn’t want to study it. I didn’t want to face it, let alone study abroad. I was not interested in that language at that time, and even found it repulsive. But after spending more time with English, I have found it is no longer something I disliked.  Instead, I have become interested in it. English has become a joy to me. Just three years ago, when I went into seventh grade, my English grades in school were not very satisfactory. I then had a chance to go to Canada for a month with my older sister. When we first arrived, I was afraid to talk to any of the foreigners. I admired my sister for not being afraid and being able to talk with those foreign people. She was able to interact, talk, and laugh with the people we met, just like a person would do while shopping in Taiwan and making small talk.  After a few days in Canada, I started to try to talk with the foreigners and found that talking with them was not as terrible as I had thought. They respected my English skills.  After all, English is not my mother tongue. After returning to Taiwan, I wanted to start improving my English ability. I was fortunate to meet Mr. Dreyer’s English teaching team, which greatly improved my English ability. The most remarkable thing is that when I began their classes, I was afraid to open my mouth to speak English, but now I can chat face-to-face with foreigners without fear.  I have taken their conversation class, reading class, and a 1 on 1 class, and I recently got an A on my 9th grade final exams in school.  I believe that my English is still not yet great, but for those people who are interested and want to improve their English skills, as long as they are assisted by Mr. Dreyer’s English team, they will definitely be able to achieve their dreams.

These are my thoughts, thank you!

Wishing you all the best,

Dreyer。

Mr. Dreyer! I would just like you to know that I got into schools like Duke, Rice, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, USC, Georgia Tech, UMich, and Berkeley! And I have made up my mind to do electrical engineering and computer science at Berkeley! Thanks for your help with my essay and my English in general, hope you have a great year!
