Student Writing: A funny story from my childhoodWritten by Scott Dreyer
"In one of my online writing classes, I asked the students to write a funny memory from their early years.
This is Eva's story.
One time when I was about three years old, I was with my mom while she was buying groceries, but I suddenly had to go to the bathroom. So, I ran to the restroom without my mom, and since I could not read Chinese yet, I did not understand what the sign meant. I just ran to the bathroom, and when I found out that it was the men's room, I was so embarrassed. Even till now I still remember what I did that day. --Eva, in Hsinchu, Taiwan
